Scarbrook Group: Road to Net Zero

Here at Scarbrook we understand that every one of us has an obligation to make our world a better, cleaner environment for all of us. Limiting our negative impact on the environment. We will update our own facilities and the way we operate to limit our environmental impact.

We will transition our facilities to utilise green sources of energy by installing solar photovoltaic arrays and battery storage systems. We will install heat pumps to provide our heating. We will transition our fleet to be fully electric.

We will monitor and assess our supply chain to promote the most energy efficient boilers and controls. We will use our negotiating platform to promote the absolute best energy efficient products on the market.

We will ensure our engineering personnel transition to installing renewable energy products. We will look at the retrofit market and incorporate renewable energy products into our service offering from the outset. We will educate clients and end users about the benefits of renewable energy options and help them make informed decisions about transitioning to these sustainable alternatives.

We will provide training for our staff to stay updated on the latest technologies and techniques in sustainable plumbing and heating. Offer educational resources for clients to learn about energy-efficient practices and the benefits of Net Zero solutions.

Partner with suppliers and manufacturers that prioritise sustainability in their products and practices. Source materials and equipment from eco-friendly suppliers and encourage manufacturers to develop innovative solutions that align with Net Zero goals.

Continuously evaluate and improve your practices to enhance sustainability efforts. Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends in sustainable plumbing and heating. Solicit feedback from clients to identify areas for improvement and adapt your services to meet evolving needs and environmental goals.

The story so far…

Already at Scarbrook we are making positive changes to our business’s. Our facilities now benefit from having 120 solar photovoltaic panels generating most of our daily requirements for electricity.

Over the past 12 months we have invested in 4 new EV charge points at our premises for our staff. We now operate 4 fully electric vehicles and 2 hybrid electric vehicles reducing our fuel cost and CO2 emissions.

By continuing this road to Net Zero, we will contribute to a more sustainable future while providing added value to our personnel, clients and communities.
