A long-term partnership with Fortem Solutions and Chesterfield Council

Scarbrook have developed a long-term partnership with Fortem Solutions and Chesterfield Council, and have successfully completed 5 commercial heating installations to numerous sheltered accommodation facilities within Chesterfield.

The of works included:

Commercial plant room replacements consisting of new boilers, cylinders, low loss headers, pumps and expansion vessels.
Communal pipe work and radiators, water mains and risers.
Flat pipe work and radiators, switch 2 meters.

These works encompassed replacement of the entire heating system.

Scarbrook have worked tirelessly over the years with Fortem’s operational team to create most efficient streamlined work sequence to ensure that not only Scarbrook works are completed in the quickest time saving prelims costs to the main client, but this also allows us to work seamlessly with Fortems other sub-contractors.

De-carbonisation Strategy

Chesterfield council highlighted their new focus on decarbonising their housing stock

On the latest sheltered accommodation scheme, Chesterfield council highlighted their new focus on decarbonising their housing stock. In partnership with our client, Fortem Solutions Ltd, we developed a design where we took out the existing gas boilers and heating system to all 28 flats, and replaced them with; high efficiency electric radiators to all communal areas and internal flats, high efficiency unvented cylinders, and a solar PV system to offset costs for not only the residents but also for the landlord.

Do you feel the project was successful, and if so, why?

Project is a huge success, completion date as programmed, no issues with health and safety with regular scores achieving 96% and above from our SHE dept audits and properties handed over with minimal defects.

Were you satisfied with the quality of our service and products, and if so, what did you particularly like?

No issues with service as always, products fine and trialled solar and electric heating system which seem to be fine with no issues.

Was there any particular team member/team members who impacted on the project?

The operatives that I had on site (Mark Bennett, Richard Meredith, Chris and Dean Meakin) are always excellent and carried out there works to a high standard and are always approachable which helps matters on site. No complaints.
